Microsoft sells 1 million Xbox One units in its first 24 hours

Microsoft has announced a successful Xbox One launch with over 1 million units sold worldwide in the first 24 hours. That roughly matches Sony’s PlayStation 4, which also topped 1 million in its first day.

Friday’s launch outpaced the launches for the Xbox 360 and the original Xbox.

If you’re looking for more Xbox One stats, Microsoft provided the following numbers:

Over 60 million zombies have been killed in “Dead Rising 3”
Over 3.6 million miles driven in “Forza Motorsport 5”
Over 7.1 million combos in “Killer Instinct”
Over 8.5 million enemies defeated in “Ryse: Son of Rome”
43.3 million Fit Points earned in Xbox Fitness
The firm also noted in its release that the Xbox One is sold out at “most retailers.”

This is insane i mean i know thats how it should be but just imagine 1 million people having an xbox one in the first 24 hours and there is yet a LOAD of people trying to get it

Kicka Ps4 outsold the xbox then techincally. Ps4 was only released in the US and some other smaller countries and sold 1mill the first day lmao and xbox only sold 1mill after releasing in the US, europe, and other countries. Damn thats sad


They also announced it before the 24 hours mark so they could have easily sold more. Also do you expect a console that is worth $100 dollars more to sell the same. People are cheap and go for the cheaper console. So look at it this way for every 5 PS4's sold only 4 Xbox Ones have to sell for them to get the same amount of money.

XboxOne was North America & 4* Euro Countries

The ps4 is going to release in almost all of Europe what this or next week? And the Xbox in basically everywhere else in December or early 2014? So why don't you wait & get the satistics of all 4 "day 1" release dates before you go all PS4 fangirl. Like the games looks the exact same on both consoles.. But the xbox just seems to offer more than just games

For the guys that are saying PS4 will still beat them, that's only because they're selling in more countries. Microsoft are finishing up the languages for the others, then it'll even out. If they sold in the same places, Xbox would most likely win. My Opinion.
