Xbox One Users Complaining About UI Slowdown
One user suggested that you should, “Just hold power button for 10 seconds. Xbox One has a memory dump issue that’s been reported.” Some have reported this as ineffective though. Another suggestion was that, “You can also change your power setting to power saving. That way, when you turn off your console, it’s a full shut down; not a hibernating mode you get with the instant on option. Then, when you turn on the console afterwards, the stuttering should be gone.”
It’s not just Reddit users – even media figures on Twitter have reported issues, including The Verge’s deputy managing editor Chris Ziegler.
"my xbox one's UI is basically stop motion animation now. time to relent and do a hard power cycle. is this going to be a regular thing?"
"Once again I have to unplug my Xbox One because the UI was chugging at 1fps. XB1's OS is tiles of hot garbage"

XxGA3MRxX Same thing happens to me. I though it was only my xbox, because the one i was playing at BestBuy was running really smooth, but now i know. hopefully they patch it soon.
Well it's good that you don't need to get your Xbox replaced. Knowing Microsoft they should find out a way to prevent this in the foreseeable future

Thlack This hasn't happened to me yet. Still seems like a bad problem. I haven't even turned mine off in the last 3 days and everything is still working perfectly. I still don't like the UI at all, but thats a different story.
Hopefully you don't get any problems but I do suggest turning it off at night when not using it, will save you money from the power bill and hopefully money if you have to send in for a repair.

KatsumiLiaButtershy Not surprising, there's been so many issues with both Next-Gen consoles.
Kind of the reason why I held off on getting one, both consoles have problems when they first are released.
Plus there really isn't any good games until 2014.
I'll be doing the same thing when it comes to this. Waiting it out just seems a lot smarter than going ahead and buying one of the new consoles straight off the bad.
My One is doing fine, but you just have to get lucky especially when buying a launch console which is what I did. The only thing I have problems with is inviting people to games in Ghosts (haven't tried in any other game), and rarely the Party app messes up sometimes and wont let me or my friends turn party chat on. Other than that my console is almost perfect.

Isn't any good games? I'm not hating seeing as its just opinions but I think almost all of the launch titles for the One looked good. I've heard Ryse is amazing, the sports games on next-gen are ridiculous, I like Ghosts, Battlefield 4 is amazing, Forza is amazing, and some of the other games look good too. Just my opinion. Looks like there are some pretty good games for 2014 too though.
