Developer Remedy has released the first gameplay footage of its new title, Quantum Break.

The video below offers a brief look at the first in-game footage shown since the title's revealing in May.

The developer said during its VGX appearance that the game's multiple main characters will have time manipulation powers.

The time manipulation in the game will be able to rewind and forward every physical object in the game, which it called a "truly next-gen" feature.


Quantum Break is a story-driven action game with decision-based scenarios that have consequences as you progress through its campaign.

The reveal trailer featured live-action footage of a little girl seemingly able to transfer her thoughts telepathically to her mother, passing a vision of a disaster in motion - a ship crashing through a civilian-packed bridge.

"The actions you take and the choices you make shape the experience as the story unfolds," said Microsoft in May.
