GTA V story DLC inbound in 2014, says Rockstar

Grand Theft Auto 5 players will be treated to "substantial" single-player story expansions in 2014.

Rockstar teased major plans for new content in a recent DLC-focused announcement. "For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor's action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas," it said.

This came along with an update to confirm that co-operative Heists for GTA Online were in development for release next year.

"Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more detail in the New Year," said Rockstar.

The firm will this week launch the Deathmatch & Race Creators Beta for GTA Online, letting players create their own missions in the online portion of the game.

Players will be able to share their creations with others, and the best creations will be highlighted in a selection of 'Rockstar Verified Jobs'.

The beta is "expected" to go live tomorrow, December 10.

A video showing off seemingly leaked content from Grand Theft Auto Online content creator emerged online last week.

December will also see the release of a new competitive team mode, Capture. As Rockstar explains, "A proper GTA twist on classic capture the flag, Capture mode brings territory infiltration and a new form of team-versus-team treachery into GTA Online. Up to four squads battle to steal contraband, trucks, buses or whatever from opponents' bases using high-speed vehicles, explosive weaponry and cunning teamwork.

"Capture is broken down into four variations - 'Raid', 'Contend', 'Hold' and 'GTA'". More details for each are promised soon.

KAQ Looks pretty good :) still haven't had a chance to buy this game though :/ but i thought GTAV died basically aswell ...?


Well it kind of did because of next-gen consoles.

2014 is a long wait but if the amount of content in the story is anywhere close to GTA 4's expansions then it will definably be worth getting it. Plus I feel like there were a lot of gaps in the story since the focus was split into 3 different antagonists.

Also I kind of wish they would have released cooperative heists since the release of the multiplayer. It's not always fun do play missions online by yourself. I'm pretty confident that cooperative heists would attract a lot of players and would keep GTA online alive as long as Rockstar doesn't take forever getting it to us.

The multiplayer has been going downhill but it's still worth the purchase for the single player mode, that is simply amazing.

I would think they will just bring Trevor back for the sake of the DLC. If not that then the DLC may be a flashback or just let you play it without Trevor in general

Well that would either be
1. Due to a glitch, being entirely their fault
2. Due to you exploiting a glitch to get those cars, being entirely your fault
