CoD: Ghosts gets Extinction Double XP Weekend

Call of Duty: Ghosts is currently hosting a double XP weekend in Extinction mode this weekend.

In effect from Friday until Sunday, December 15, the buff will offer players 100 per cent additional XP on matches of the game's co-op multiplayer Extinction mode.

The XP boost comes as part of what Activision is calling 'Extinction Day', marking a day of Extinction-focused official live streams airing today, Friday, December 13).

The live streams promise tips from experienced players on how to be good at the alien co-op mode, a Q&A with Infinity Ward developers and a "look at new features coming soon to Extinction".

Sanctorum Call of Duty Ghosts multiplayer looks terrible but I was considering purchasing it for the PS4 for the extinction game mode, any suggestions? Is the game worth it or not? I feel like CoD is dying out finally, anyway so I'm not sure if it's worth while purchasing it.


That's all on personal preference. If you remember Survival from MW3, it's sorta close to that while I guess you can say on a mixed level with "Zombies." There are rounds, but they're called hives, different aliens that get stronger the further you get, weapons you find on the ground and buy with cash you get from killing aliens or finding cash on the ground, different ammo, different classes, load outs and all that. I enjoy Extinction more than MP. So if you liked Survival on MW3 and Zombies from WaW and BO1/BO2, I would give this a try as I felt it was a mix between the two.

I actually like Extinction more than I do Multiplayer. Granted the one map has gotten boring, but still I would much party up with friends and play that over MP.

I stayed at my friends the entire time just to level him up on his PS-Tree!
I hate Ghosts for Multi-player though;c

I thoroughly enjoyed the double xp event for Extinction as it meant I was able to gain little over a prestige within 3 games. I think that it is a great idea for this to happen and hopefully it is done again.

How is extinction? People seem to like it more than multiplayer


My friend says it is a lot better then multiplayer, I don't know why :S
