GTA Online weekend event: GTA$ 1 million competition, discounts & more

Grand Theft Auto Online developer Rockstar North is holding a weekend event starting today, December 20. The developer is offering discount vehicles and a will grant five job creators GTA$ 1 million for their efforts.


Details of the event were posted over on the Rockstar News Wire today. It’ll run from today, December 20 until close of play December 22.

For starters, you can buy the Adder sports car, Dinka Double-T bike and Buzzard chopper at 25% off.

Player-created Deathmatch and Race events can be entered free of charge all weekend, and Rockstar will be hand-picking five created jobs and awarding their creators GTA$ 1 million in prize money for their efforts. They’ll also receive an exclusive vanity license plate.

There’s also a new round of GTA Online sweepstakes with real and in-game prizes.

Pretty pointless, considering how many people have done glitches and mods to get an insane amount of money. The exclusive license plate is a nice touch though IMO. 25% off 3 vehicles, isn't a very good deal though!? It should be more like between 10% and 50% of ALL vehicles.

I really don't see a lot of people doing this event, since there is a ton of modded lobbies out in online.

daRealRush I think this is pretty pointless if you ask me! We have all these lobbies, and we have had all these glitches to get a lot of money!


Some people like to do it legit and dont get in lobbis, however they join a random lobby and get money given to them that they didnt ask for now thats different.
