Report: Wii U Outsold Xbox One Last Week

The alleged sales numbers for the week of December 21 have been revealed by VGChartz, and, according to the data, the Wii U outsold Microsoft’s Xbox One console globally last week.

As you can see in the chart below, the Wii U sold 319,860 units world-wide last week while the Xbox One sold only 307,366. Of course, neither systems come close to the numbers of the 3DS which sold 1,078,568 units last week to remain the top selling console in the World.

The news of the Wii U outselling the Xbox One is surprising due to the fact that Microsoft’s console is the newer of the two which has more “hype” at this time of the year. The fact that the Wii U sales are on the upswing can only be good news for a console, and a company, with high hopes for 2014.

Thats a good factor to include too. But the Xbox One can so many things that the Wii U can't

Wow... I knew the day would come. The day a Nintendo console finally came back to glory over this new "Xbox" franchise. The original entrepreneurs are back in their thrones. Sony and Nintendo the 2 original company's of electronic and consumer.

its worth the price if it was any cheaper they would be selling at a loss there making less then 20$ a console

cause the XBOE-ONE is Garbage, your better off with a WII-U, PS4 OR PC


You must remember every consoles above the xbox one on this list is available in 28+ countries which increases the amount of population to buy it and at the same time the xbox one is only available in 13 countries. If xbox one was as available as the ps4 it would more than definitely be closer to its sales than it is now. I Mean this is easily common sense to figure out a consoles available in %50 less countries isn't going to sell as well as a console that is.


im sure if the xbox one was available in all the countries that the wii u is, it would easily out sell it and I thought Nintendo were going to cease all production on the wii or have they decided not to now ?

Snuf Xbox 360 is third on the list with 100,000 more that the next gen, and PS4 has double Xbox One, because Xbox One is bad.. There is nothing good about it, I've already been banned for cursing, and it's obvious they are always listen because how else would they know???


it is literally funny how bad you lie you will never be banned for swearing unless you are making a video on upload studio and are swearing, why? because anybody can see your video + you only get banned from upload studio and skype for 24 hours


If you think the xbox one is trash you're mentally retarded so many more things the ui is better and key voice commands skype and switching

The superior system is all opinionated actually. Ps4 = More user friendly. Xbone = Hardcore gamers.
