PS4 outselling Xbox One 1.5:1 in UK

Sony claims that its PlayStation 4 is outselling Microsoft’s Xbox One by a ratio of 1.5:1 in the UK indicating that for every 2 Xbox One units, Sony is selling 3 PlayStation 4 units in the UK.

Speaking at an event in the UK PlayStation UK boss Fergal Gara further added that PlayStation 3 sales figures are exactly the opposite. Xbox 360 was outselling the PlayStation 3 by 1.51:1 according to latest sales figures.

The latest PS4 to Xbox One sales ratio of 1.5:1 is impressive as Xbox 360 has a greater fan following in the UK as compared to Europe where PlayStation consoles fare better.

According to analysis reports and inventory data, Xbox Ones are easier to get in the UK as compared to PlayStation 4 and that probably explains the stats revealed by Gara.

As of December 2013, Sony managed to sell 4.2 million units of PlayStation 4, while Microsoft sold 3 million Xbox One with 3.9 million ‘shipped’. This puts the sales ratio of PS4 to Xbox One at 2:1.5.

I have both and I can honestly say there is NOTHING that makes one console worth getting over the other. The PS4 is cheaper and doesn't have mandatory paid online for most features, but XBL doesn't get infiltrated with all of its users' information stolen and the network is up far more with more stability. They each have exclusive titles, and have the same capabilities. It really depends on whether your friends have one or the other.

It actually is worth it, but because the difference is 25% of the PS4's value, many people won't want to risk it. My logic is not false, it's SPOT ON.

Each console has it's benefits, just chose the one that fits your preference.

Reading the comments, see's tons of Xbox fanboys defending the Xbone, isn't surprised at all that they are getting defensive over a console that's the same (almost numbers wise) as the PS4 but comes with a kinect.

The financial aspect of the consoles does play in the PS4 favour for sales but a $100 difference isn't going to make or break a console sales in the long run. I think Microsoft will slowly gain more sales than the PS4 over the lifespan of the next generation of consoles.
