Xbox One system update adds storage management, battery monitor

4.6
The Xbox One operating system had some peculiar quirks out of the box, and a system update that will propagate on February 11 will fix some of them.

In particular, it will allow users to see how much storage space they’re using on the console’s internal hard drive. It will also introduce a battery indicator for the controller, and compatibility with USB keyboards. Screenshot of the build below:

On March 4 an additional system update will revamp the console’s party system in preparation for the launch of Titanfall later that month.

“This is the first of many announcements and sneak peeks at features in the system updates. We’ve been carefully listening to your feedback and look forward to delivering many new features that will make Xbox One even better,” said Microsoft. “We’re just getting started and can’t wait to share more information in the coming weeks.”

I am really liking what Microsoft are doing to the console at the moment... Hopefully they can keep it up :)

VPN It would be nice to allow a Mice to work so you can pretend you are on PC.

But then it would just be like pc gaming o.0 You might as well just play on the pc ...

I think this is a great feature, I am glad they are actually adding some useful additives.

Kex Can't believe they didn't have a controller battery monitor at launch lol.

I was kind of expecting them to include something along those lines, well.. it's good to see that they have added it now though

Should have been there from the beginning though really.
