Flappy Bird to stop flapping

Dong Nguyen, the developer behind Flappy bird, has threatened to take the popular game down due to his inability to cope with success.

It appears the lone developer cannot handle the success of his game, he claims it has changed his "simple life".

It is estimated that he is making upwards of $50k a day via in-game ads while garnering 50 million downloads from the various platforms. Keith Shepherd, co-founder of the developer behind Temple Run, has reached out in a bid to help the struggling Dong cope. It is unclear at time of posting if he intends to accept the help.

I hate people like you. He made this game because he likes making games. If it was really all about the money don't you think he would just disappear and not care what people have to say. How would you like to have hundreds if not thousands of people emailing and tweeting at you saying you suck and your game is terrible. It wouldn't be good now would it. He clearly isn't used to all the hate he is getting. People like you are what makes others not want to keep making games.

Very accurate. I would enjoy being well known, but I'm not sure I could handle that much attention all at once.

I've never played it but, if he's making as much as they say he is then he'd be crazy to take it down. He can turn it over to me because I'd gladly take it off his hands lol.
