Flappy Bird has officially stopped flapping, it has been removed from both the Apple and Play stores when it appears the developer, Dong Nguyen, has a nervous breakdown over it's success claiming it was "ruining his life".
It is assumed that Dong will NOT be fulfilling his claim of porting Flappy Bird to Windows Phones.
Prior to Dong ceasing his Twitter presence he stated that the attention he had received stemming from his game coupled with the "stress of making $50k a day" were among the reasons he had pulled the game.
How do those who played Flappy Birds feel about this entire ordeal?
Poor guy, rather than making a game he loves to see people happy to play it, he gets hate and death threats from people that can't play the game. But at least he doesn't have to work for the next 10 years.
Gossip Thank god. Honestly I hated this game. Theres no point to it.
Me too, I had downloaded the game and tried it once or twice and it wasn't really that fun to me so I deleted it. Almost everyone one I know talks about it and their precious "High Score"
OfficiaLIcy Apparently he has received many death threats. I would rather not live with 50k a day and know I am safe, rather than earn that much and being scared to go outside.
I imagine that they were just empty threats from 12 yr olds, but still causes stress on such a large scale im sure
DJSLobbies He got a lot of grief from many people, I would of done the same if I was him, he made enough money in the time it was released to buy him some luxurys, but its not worththe death threats or any of the grief he has been getting
he didnt get the death threats until it was taken down i woulda milked that game aslong as i could for 50k a day
