Possible negatives of the Xbox One headset adapter

Not all models of headsets are compatible with the upcoming head adapter, many popular headsets are flatout unusable including even the official Xbox 360 Wireless Headset and the respective Bluetooth variation. Any headset that uses the connector shown in the below is also a NO GO for usage.

A 2.5mm-to-3.5mm adapter cable is included but will only handle chat audio, if you want game audio you need additional cables.

I just took apart the free head set they give you and one of my broken turtle beach wires then wired them together and have't had any problems

Nothing was wrong with the 360 version.

There is no need to change something when it isn't broken.

It will work with most turtle beaches and astro's . I have The adapter already and it works great with my X12s and A40s

turtle beach was giving them away for free with proof of purchase of headset so it is possible
