Titanfall Xbox One beta runs at 792p

The Xbox One beta version of Titanfall will render at 792p, according to Respawn.

The slightly unconventional resolution was originally discovered by Eurogamer's Digital Foundry, who was able to grab some footage from the beta and estimated it was running at a native resolution of 1408x792.

This was later confirmed on fansiteTitanfall Blog. The site spoke to Respawn community manager Abbie Heppe, who verified the 792p figure.

Heppe did also stress that while 792 is not considered a standard resolution, most other games run natively at different resolutions and are then upscaled to 1080p.

She also states that Respawn was working towards increasing the native resolution by the time the final game was released, with the target being 900p native and 60 frames per second.

EA and Respawn Entertainment have confirmed the Titanfall beta will commence on Friday, February 14 and are now accepting registrations via a new website page.

Are you dumb? The xbox 360 had 1080p on almost all games. I expect that a game from the next gen should have better resolution not worse. Also the generation after the xbone and ps4 should be able to support 4k.


Are you even stupider? Most Xbox 360 games are UPSCALED to 1080p, not full HD.

@HDITeRRoRiZeI, It's 2014 damn it. This generation should have true 1080p. I just got my first 1080p monitor two days ago, it's glorious. Playing games up-scaled to 1080p isn't even close to the real thing.

@Monster-Munch, Doesn't Call of Duty: Ghosts run at 720p on Xbox One? (and 1080p on PS4.)


BF4 and NBA 2K14 and even FIFA 14 on PS4 looks amazing! I'm running on 1080p and it looks like live actors half the time, the graphics are unreal. And if you've seen MLB The Show 14's graphic, if you haven't search them up, they have the best console graphics ever, no lie! We should be getting 4K and better 3D intergration on Next-Gen, just you wait, TVs won't be anything like they are by the time the Next-Gen comes around, we'll be watching on massive TVs!!


Or go with a PC and oh hey, it's already here. It's not next gen, you people are just behind.


That's actually my platform of choice. Ever since I built my PC in October / November I haven't touched my xbox. I really want to upgrade to three monitors and play games in eyefinity sometime or another.
