Xbox 360 gets free Gold weekend in US and Canada

Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold subscription service is free to access on Xbox 360 consoles this weekend, making Xbox entertainment apps and online multiplayer gameplay available for all Xbox Live members in the United States and Canada.

While the free weekend coincides with the upcoming beta launch of Titanfall, the offer does not extend to Xbox One consoles; beta testers will need a paid Xbox Live Gold membership to participate. As an alternative, the free weekend marks a solid opportunity to check out Wargaming's free-to-play online multiplayer game World of Tanks, which launched this week.

The free weekend begins at 12:01 a.m. PST tomorrow, and extends through 11:59 p.m. PST on Sunday.

So when shall I expect my rebate from ms? Seeing as I paid for a full year and in reality should of bought 11 months and 29 days and enjoyed these two free days. (minus any other 'free Xbox live weekends)

They are sometimes regions which get free games you just need to know where they are and how to make a 2nd account on that region

I got Injustice: Gods Among Us and Bulletstorm (weird game but im sure it was a full 40GBP on release) for free


How did you get these games for free? how long ago was this & what region do i change it to get them?

daRealRush I already have gold, and if I didn't. I know how to get it free. So what's the point in having these? I mean, Microsoft pretty much gives Gold away for free.


The point? For people with xbox silver to have the ability to use Gold features. Just because you know how to do it doesn't mean everyone does. It's stupid that you even have to pay in the first place.
