Both Apple and Google stopping new apps with 'Flappy' in title

4.4
Both Apple and Google are now rejecting new apps with the word "Flappy" in their title. According to Indie developler Ken Carpenter and his recent tweet his upcoming game, Flappy Dragon, had failed the approval process for the iOS app store.

According to Carpenter, Apple told him his app was in violation of the below section of App Store Review Guidelines:

22.2: Apps that contain false, fraudulent or misleading representations will be rejected

We found that your app, and/or its metadata, contains content that could be misleading to users, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines.

We found your app name attempts to leverage a popular app.App Store Review Guidelines

How do you feel about Apple and Google refusing to publish games attempting to capitalize on the recently pulled Flappy Bird?

Indie devs spending time developing apps that people want annoys you? Wow.

I agree hate these rip of versions just bring back the original

I think this is great.
The knockoffs are just weak. and harder to play
Its pathetic that these developers try to copy to fill the gap when flappy bird was taken off.

I feel like they're doing the right thing. Those companies are basically trying to steal Flabby Birds idea and game.

It was pretty annoying when you went on the App store to see that all of the top apps were basically rip offs of Flappy bird.

This can have many ups and downs ,such as preventing titles non-related to flappy bird from being published just because they have "flappy" in the title..

Its a good idea to stop blatant rip-offs of Flappy Bird, but it might stop genuine apps from being published that have nothing to do with Flappy Bird.
