Thief sneaks in 1080p for PS4 while Xbox One lags at 900p

Thief is due to be released on February 25th, it has came to light that the PS4 version will render at 1080p while it's Xbox One counterpart will only turn up at 900p.

The slight gap between resolutions was announced by the game's Publisher, Square Enix, in a recent chat with a leading gaming news venue. They go on to state the difference is so minute that you would *need* really good sight to spot the disparity. While he admits there is a difference albeit slight between the PS4 and Xbox One he goes on to tell gamers that the biggest jump in quality for Thief will be from the previous generation of consoles versus the latest and greatest from Sony and Microsoft.

The Xbox will be a bit fuzzier. I find this hilarious because both consoles are already so far behind compared to the PC. PC games are all going to be in 4K at 60 fps with a $200 graphics card in the next 3 years while the Xbox and PS4 will still be down at 1080p or even 900p. Its sort of sad.


Yeah if you **** sit 4 inches away from the screen smh, I seriously couldn't care less about 4K, I don't taking gaming serious enough for that.

No need to be hostile to him, besides your wrong. 1080p was mainly utilized by gamers/heavy movie watchers early on when it was expensive, but now it's the standard for TV's. In 2-3 years 4K will be relatively standard for decent prices.

Very few said that the Xbox One will be superior... Most people just stated that the difference between them is irrelevant, which it is when you consider the jump from current-gen to next-gen consoles. THAT is a big difference in performance and game quality.

Either way, PCs dominate in terms of both so any console-based fan warfare is just hilarious to see.

A $200 graphics card is a bit of a stretch, but your basic idea is definately correct.

Kurumu Why do these companies keep **** xbox one users in the **** this is complete BS there is no reason the xbox one can't run this at 1080P and if there is then this devs need to stop and get their act together, they do not want to piss off the users off a game console, because they control whether or not these idiots make money.


It's simply the hardware, both Microsoft and Sony cheaper out on these console, at best they are barely a mid range PC.
