Xbox One drops to £399.99 in UK

The U.K. portion of Microsoft has released that it plans to slash the Xbox One console by £30 leaving it at £399.99, this cut makes it just £50 above it's main competitor, Sony's PS4.

This price goes into effect Friday along with a limited edition bundle set to include the Console and a digital copy of their upcoming FPS Titanfall for the same new price. Sadly in the U.S. this bundle will sell at the same price the Xbox One has had since it's launch.


Do you think Titanfall is enough to push the Xbox One over Sony's PS4 sizable sales lead?

Kex It's only 30GBP.
If 30GBP puts people off buying a next gen console then they shouldn't have one anyway.
Oh well, at least they dropped the price anyway.


How about reading/thinking before posting. it's 399.99 with titanfall.
so subtract the price of the game it puts the price fairly near ps4, this is not coincidental, it's to make the console look more appealing. No one likely paying more for less (in terms of raw power/speed not stupid kinect that +90% don't want XD)


Sounds like you have a PS4 and don't understand how good the Kinect 2 is.


The kinect is terrible, and the whole voice command thing isn't next gen worthy, in my opinion, the kinect just, isn't needed.


How is it terrible? The video quality is top notch and it picks up everything I say with ease. If voice commands are not "next gen worthy" then what is? Updated graphics and hardware? I'm pretty sure that is already covered. I don't see why voice commands is not something that should be in the next gen... If you have the cash why not spend a little more to get something extra.

who buys a full $500 console just to play a game? The PS4 has almost everything better about than an xbox. With that said it probably won't sell better than a playstation. The best option is always a pc tho ;)
