Nintendo announces March 13th eShop maintenance

This maintenance is in addition to the service's regular weekly maintenance. The eShop is expected to go down at 1PM PT March 13th and last for four hours. The company gave no exact details to explain the additional downtime yet noted both the 3DS and Wii U eShop would be affected.

4 hours is not that long since i rarely buy games.

Playstation's maintenance is 5 hours+ I would rather have 4 hours than 5 hours+ any day.

VIT why do we have to be notified about this if these maintenance take place every week?


For you could prepare for the dates of maintenance.


It's because it's in addition to the weekly maintenance. Read it.


Not only that, it will last four hours as well, which is an outrageous amount of time for maintenance.

daRealRush It's supposed to last for 4 hours, that is a long time to wait.


Think about it this way, they are turning off all of their servers (takes a few minutes), then they are exchanging hard drives with updates and whatnot (takes a few hours). Then they turn on the servers again (few more minutes) and now you can play. So 4 hours is nothing for server maintenance.


I mean, with how impatient people are nowadays, that would be a long time for someone to wait.
