Ubisoft lets out Watch Dogs minimum PC specs

Ubisoft's upcoming title, Watch Dogs, had it's minimum PC specifications posted to Twitter this week from Jonathan Morin, the game's creative director. When questioned on how the PC version would fare graphically to console iterations he said the following: "PC on very high setting is really stunning if you ask me. As for density it also very high of course." The minimum specifications for Watch Dogs can be found below.

Watch Dogs PC minimum specs

Processor: IntelCore 2 Quad Q8400 2.66Ghz or AMDPhenom II X4 940 3.0Ghz
Memory: 6GB RAM
Video card: 1024 VRAM DirectX 11 Shader 5.0
Sound card: DirectX9
Hard drive: 25 GB


Currently Watch Dogs is slated to drop on May 27th for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC but it is definitely possible for more additional delays.

I have a custom build tower that is hooked up to my monitor and these specs are nothing.

Exactly, what do people not understand about MINIMUM specs. This means if you want to play the game on low settings this is the MINIMUM specs your computer can have. And Low settings are almost always less than what a gamming console shows.

This also means that you probably won't be able to play on a 1080p resolution with these specs.

I play on 1440p resolution on ultra settings and to do that this minimum specs would fail miserably.

Damn. Looks like I'm going to have to upgrade my laptop. Good timing anyways, my laptop is pretty old. Still runs almost all games pretty well on Ultra. Next gen games though, I gotta prepare for that.

Thlack Hmm, not the highest specs ive seen for recent games, but on console this game has the same graphics as GTA IV so I dont expect anything less. Its going to be epic either way.


With it being postponed anything could change hopefully the graphics improve and all the issues by then are fixed.
