SimCity offline mode update in 'final testing'

SimCity's Update 10, a patch that will allow for offline play, is in "final testing," according to a tweet posted on the game's official Twitter account. Update 10 was revealed back in January, shortly after publisher EA and developer Maxis announced that the game would also start supporting mods.

The SimCity saga of server instability and poor service was one of 2013's defining moments in gaming, as well as inspiration for our newly-launched State of Service reviews. The option to play offline has been a long time coming.

the sim city game does actually look quite fun to play. I might get this :D offline mode looks cool as well.

Miss Guess that's pretty cool, never have played this game though. Might get it just to see what this hype is all about.

...the only hype about the game is bad. No one talked about how good of a game this was. I remember EA saying that adding an offline mode was simply impossible... then a modder did it in only a day or so.

Bias cool, hopefully now the game is better and I may buy it

I have heard good things about this game, but on the flip side I have heard just as much, if not more about this game being bad. Hopefully this update makes it turn out for the better.
