Infinity Ward has released a Call of Duty: Ghosts trailer teasing the new Extinction level coming as part of the 'Devastation' expansion pack.

Extinction Episode 2 (of a total of four episodes), subtitled 'Mayday', sees players sent to investigate a high-tech ghost ship adrift in the South Pacific. The new level will feature new weapons, including the 'Ripper', a hybrid weapon that can be switched between a sub machine gun and an assault rifle on the fly. It will also apparently release the "skyscraper-sized Kraken", according to the developer.

Mayday comes as part of the 'Devastation' DLC pack, the second expansion for Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Set for release on Xbox 360 and Xbox One on April 3, and on PC and PlayStation platforms at a later date, Devastation also introduces four small to medium sized multiplayer maps: Ruins, Behemoth, Collision, and Unearthed, which is a reimagined version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Dome.

As previously revealed, the Predator will also make an appearance in some form. Infinity Ward has yet to specify if or how players will be able to assume the role of the movie monster. Michael Myers of the Halloween series appeared as a playable character in the Fog map of Ghosts' Onslaught DLC after certain match conditions were met.
