Call of Duty 2014′s in-game character visual shown at GDC

Call of Duty 2014 is coming this fall, and a visual of an in-game character model was shown off by Sledgehammer Games at GDC last month.

The image, which was posted by IGN, shows how “actual in-game characters,” will look.

While it’s just a man’s face, it shows how next-gen the firm intends the game to look.

It revealed earlier this year the firm was taking a ‘next-gen first’ approach to development and insiders said the visuals represented a massive jump over Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Formats for the game have yet to be announced, but it’s assumed by many to be PC, PS4 and Xbox One only, yet other rumblings state it’s cross-generation. We’ll know more once Activision announces something.

This looks good but I wonder what it will actually look like in game because they always show off these fancy visuals about how games will look apparently "in game" but then when they come out they don' look half as good.

I really hope that this cod is good. There hasn't been a good cod for a while. I dont even think I am going to bother picking this up.

I still think they haven't got the eyes of the people right. They need more depth and detail.

It would certainly be interesting if they released it for Xbox One/PS4 and PC only. It would probably mean a better quality game overall if they did.

I really hope this one is good. Ghosts is the only CoD I haven't got max prestige in.

I'm glad its CoD season again. Can't wait for the new CoD.
