Goat Simulator to rampage across the UK in boxed release
Koch Media, Goat Simulator's UK publisher, broke the news this morning, saying that the physical version of the Internet's favorite antisocial livestock simulator will reach retailers on May 23. No additional content is planned for the physical release, but buyers will receive a box emblazoned with the face of Satan's most cuddly terrestrial envoy. Notably lacking from the announcement was any word on what price point might be attached to the physical release.
In addition to word of this physical version of Goat Simulator, developer Coffee Stain Studios has detailed the game's upcoming 1.1 patch with a video that is sadly exclusive to Facebook. The highlight, both of this clip and likely of your day, is goat parkour. If those two words didn't immediately send you scrambling for the "Play" button, you're probably dead. Joystiq offers its condolences.

joefizz32DownIoad-TupacGuns I cant wait to find this on a shelf :)
You mean as a disc version for console? I agree. Would be so much better!
I agree , Would be so much better if you could buy a disk.
Beet How would a console version with a disc be so much better? On PC not many people still buy physical versions of games anymore and getting any game for consoles you are just really limiting yourself.
@Beet I completely agree with you. With a PC I can at least emulate the console I might want to play for a little bit, but when it comes down to it, my trusty PC always pulls me back. In a simple sentence, a console is just a very incapable PC.
Many people like to just play a console though so why does it matter?

DeadMouse They need this game for xbox. ;)
Yeah I think it would work well with a controller.

-Deano I don't really see the point with a boxed release. It's easy enough to purchase through Steam.
The game itself is pretty funny, although I find that you get slightly bored after about 30mins or so in one go. Overall, probably about 2 hours worth of unique stuff to do.
That's actually what was going though my mind, yeah people might want to buy the disc version as I guess a "collectors" item or something, but again, it's easier through Steam as you said, and I'm sure most people would prefer digital over discs anyways.
