Grand Theft Auto V has shipped 33 million

Grand Theft Auto V has shipped more than 33 million units, Rockstar Games parent group Take-Two announced Tuesday.

The figure has grown by just 500,000 since Take-Two's announcement in early February that Grand Theft Auto V had shipped about 32.5 million units since releasing on September 17.

The best-selling console game of all time (not bundled) remains Mario Kart Wii at 34 million units.

However, Take-Two reported that "non-GAAP net revenue from digitally-delivered content grew 65% year-over-year to a record $435.1 million, led by offerings for the Grand Theft Auto series, Borderlands 2, the NBA 2K franchise, Sid Meier's Civilization V and BioShock Infinite".

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has GTA Online the "gift that keeps on giving".

That's a whole lotta sales! I can see why though! As an Xbox One gamer, I still love going back on my 360 quite often to play GTA with a few friends :)

That's an insane amount of sales they've made so far. But they deserve each and every one of them because this game is absolutely amazing!

It's a huge amount of games sold but I'm not surprised, it's a very good and popular game in my opinion. Even people in my school that I didn't know were gamers play it.

Everytime I read a news article and then look st comments, you always say something stupid or irrelevant just to get your post count up, which is pretty sad tbh. OT: GTA V will probably take the record for most games sold when it is released on PC and next-gen.


which wont happen. The games already been out for awhile most people already own it. It being released on 2 more platforms won't boost sales that much at all.
