PlayStation Plus to offer 2 free games for Vita, PS3, PS4 each month

Sony is adjusting its Instant Game Collection schedule for PlayStation Plus starting in July, promising to dish out six free games per month. The games will be divided evenly among its three active platforms, two for each of PS4, PS3 and Vita, and will all debut on the first Tuesday of every month, lasting until the first Tuesday of the following month. Current freebies on PS Plus that had a "nice, long stint" will be gradually phased out in the coming weeks.

The House of PlayStation also announced the six games that will be free for the month of June, starting next Tuesday. PS4 owners will have access to Trine 2: Complete Story and PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate, PS3 players can download NBA 2K14 and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and Vita owners will get Terraria and Mutant Mudds Deluxe for the month. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is Cross-Buy eligible, so Vita owners will be able to download that game as well.

Yep, it's called games with gold. However, I think Sony has been doing this for a while now.

They have, and they give them good games, not terrible Arcade games.

At first sony did give pretty bad games. That little frontal cortex of yours is obviously not letting you realize MS just started doing this and has to work deals with companies.. And the free games so far have been awesome lately...it's only going to get better as sony did with ps+.. Use context clues and maybe just maybe you'll be able to understand how companies work.

Sony has been doing this for PS+ members for longer than Microsoft has been doing games with Gold. Not to mention the quality of the games aren't even comparable between the two.

Well as you said sony has been doing it for longer... give it time and you'll see. I mean MS is doing good in june. 5 games that all aren't "cheap"

I hope you are being sarcastic because Sony didn't steal anything from Nintendo. Nintendo was supposed to work with Sony to make a new Nintendo console with a cd rom inside but Nintendo backed out and made the Nintendo 64 while Sony made the Playstation.

This is correct and I would like to add that PS+ have been giving free games for few years now where as xbox have this for like a year?

and the free games on ps were only while u were a ps plus member, and it was a collection of games, what they are doing now is copying Microsoft!

If you want to bring MS into this, which no one did, and trying to state xbox is copying PS... How's party chat and MP?? MP games started out on the original xbox and party chat started on 360.. like i don't understand what you're point is....every company copies each other.

My bad everyone. You do keep the games forever for both systems. Also...I don't see why Xbox Games for Gold is so bad? Yea they didn't do it first...but does that make it bad? -.-

I am not arguing any is better. They are both good. But just because Play Station is giving more games doesn't make it better. When Xbox Games for Gold comes out on Xbox One they'll be releasing different games too. And Xbox doesn't have a portable game system so they can't give more free games for that too.

Yes I play Xbox. I don't play Play Station. No I am not a fanboy of Xbox. I clearly am just defending what clearly this articles makes look bad for no apparent reason.

They are both good.
