Microsoft releases Xbox One controller drivers for PC

Microsoft has released a set of drivers that enable Xbox One controller support for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows PCs.

The Xbox One controller works with any game that currently features support for the Xbox 360 controller. After installing Microsoft's drivers, players can immediately start using the Xbox One controller in compatible games and apps by connecting it via a micro USB cable.

Native controller support will be featured in a future Windows update, but Microsoft notes that it wanted to push out updated drivers as soon as possible in order to let users "play their favorite PC games with what we consider the best controller ever made."

Of course there are a handfull of exceptions like Dark Souls, but most work better if not just flat out need a keyboard and mouse. Platformers can be played about the same on both keyboard and controller. Most can be played with one hand. Again, please know what you are talking about before posting.

Well i won the debate about keyboards being superior in most pc games as your original arguement was just fps games were better. I also got your attention being an "elitist". I must say it was somewhat successful.
this wasn't even a debate. you were just giving out opinions and tried to make them facts. you literally haven't a clue of what you were even talking about. how long have you been in the PC gaming scene a week? come talk to me when you've been on PC for over 2 years.


Then lets talk. You can deny the facts all you want, but your point is incorrect. Using a controller for PC gaming puts the user in a huge disadvantage over other players that use keyboards which is by my guess is about 98% of major PC games use keyboard and mouse. This is because they know that the keyboard and mouse would be better than the controller even if a controller is even possible.

You're being too stubborn. It all depends on the game, most FPS games are better on a keyboard, however, sometimes people want to lay back and enjoy their game rather than sit up and use mouse and keyboard.
