Diablo 3 runs at 1080p on PS4, 900p on Xbox One

Blizzard told Joystiq that it is "prioritizing frame rate" when it comes to optimizing the new-gen console versions of the action RPG. That means a 900p resolution for the Xbox One version while the PS4 version will render at a full 1080p.

Blizzard announced in May that Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition will release August 19. In addition to PS4 it will also launch for PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

As the title suggests, the game will feature both the core Diablo 3 game as well as the recent Reaper of Souls expansion, which has already released for PC.

The PS4 and Xbox One versions will also boast full character transfer options from the last-gen versions.

The PlayStation versions will include an exclusive mission where players can battle clickers and other infected from The Last of Us.

I would've never thought of Sony doing something like that. But now that you mention it, it could possibly be true.

I can't believe your train of thought. Its simply more powerful hardware, I also don't think Sony is worried about popularity right now.

That's not much of a difference. I can't even see the difference between 1080p, and 720p. So I know I can't tell the difference between 1080p and 900p.

This is for anyone that might be considering this game. Don't get me wrong it isn't a complete trash game but it is constantly changing, and blizzard has sort of made this game a bit too easy.

I've put a couple hundred hours on PC on this game and it does bore very quickly and the re isn't really an "end game". You can take my opinion any way that you want to, but you might want to do some research before buying this or not.

That's because people can't just be thankful for what they have and not fight over which console is "better." When, in reality, they are the same with some very minor differences. Neither of which compete with PC in the least.

Doesn't matter, the PS4 is still more powerful than the Xbox One. The Kinect makes no difference.


I really don't understand why people care about "Console" graphics so much they will always be garbage compared to PC. Just play and stop complaining. Even during a console war Xbox will still be the better console in terms of games. More exclusives, DLC before any other console, More Games. It's hardly even debatable.

Because pc is boring since it has to sit by your desk. you cant just throw it in a backpack and go over to a friends for a night of fun its just to much hassle. Nothing wrong with wanting more out of whatever platform you play on everyone has there opinion...
