Payday 2: Crimewave Edition coming to Xbox One and PS4

The Crimewave Edition will include "enhanced features and a stash of new bonus content, giving fans the ultimate PAYDAY experience". No release date was specified.

The co-op heist shooter released on Steam, PS3, and Xbox 360 in August 2013. It was followed with a stream of free and paid DLC, adding new weapons, gear, and missions to the game.

Starbreeze Software, which owns Overkill, cited successful sales of Payday 2 as a turnaround point for the company.

"Thanks to our new business model, reorganization and a focus on our own brands, we have - in only two quarters - generated a profit before tax of SEK 104 million," CEO Bo Andersson Klint said. "I would like to think that is what they call a turnaround."

In our original Payday 2 review we said: "With friends, it's one of the most intense, thrilling co-op multiplayer games we've played.

"The unpredictability of the randomisation can make even heists you've played a dozen times feel fresh, throwing new surprises at you. Making it past seemingly impossible odds with a fat bag of money slung over your shoulder is hugely rewarding."

Yeah the graphics are terrible, I don't see myself getting this anytime soon.

Have you considered that not everyone has the game? I also don't see anywhere that says you're being forced to buy it.


they did not say forced. they are saying if you bought the game and want a better version you are buying it again.


They promised DLC for consoles and did not deliver. The DLC for PC users was free while console users will have to repurchase the game in order to play it.

You would think that it would new a little bit better by bringing it into a next gen console. I don't expect greatness but I expect a bit more from this. I think the gameplay is amazing and it's going to be great playing it on the next gen and the extra content should be really good, and from what we have seen in the past, they will have some good new heists in this version of Payday.

I will get it, as long as this time they had a huge bank heist like the first one had, u know 2 hours of drilling and holding off cops just to do the one bank. I was so disappointed when part 2 didn't have that
