Microsoft Working on Another Halo Game

With Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, you’d think there’s enough Halo in the pipeline (who am I kidding? there’s never enough Halo), but apparently that’s not the case, as revealed by a new career opportunity ad published by Microsoft for 343 Industries.

The ad seeks a Publishing Senior Producer that will take care of a “new project line” within the Halo universe, meaning that we might actually see more than one game coming from this. It also mentions working with a development partner and and internal and external teams, indicating that the project is probably going to be executed in collaboration with one or more external developers, even if we don’t know if they’ll be first or third party studios.

Of course the producer will be tasked with ensuring that “the game hits the quality expected of a title within the Halo Franchise,” but there’s no precise indication of the scope of the project. Considering that the ad is talking about a new project line, it’s probably something rather relevant, but we’ll have to wait for an official announcement in order to know more.

It's Halo Wars 2. I spotted it hidden in a game trailer at E3. Sadly, no one else did. Yes!!!!!!!

Ohh ok that's even better. I was afraid near-to nobody new about it which would be weird.
Considering it's a 'new project line' it must be a reboot of Halo Wars if i'm not mistaken. Everything seems to fall into place, right?

You are right about it being halo wars 2. Xbox posted a job opportunity and it says that it's looking for experienced RTS developers. It seems that the path they're going down is to make a very good halo wars and not one that gets discredited for being considered part of the halo universe like halo wars did even though I loved it


Well I hope. I too, thought Halo Wars was a good game, but it could have done with some adjustments like the rushing problem. It should be good though. Got really addicted to it for a long time.

If they really are going to start a pipeline of halo games, It would be really nice to see an open universe Halo game. Kinda like Mass Effect or they could go in the direction of No Mans Sky. If they managed to make a decent game like that, I would never leave my house.

xTriickz As the user said before me, Halo 5 isn't even out yet. I feel like to make a game good you need user-feedback, and they're not going to have any feedback with the upcoming Halo's. They need to relax, Microsoft is so money hungry.


you know they have to plan a head right. They need to fill positions. If you ever look microsoft exclusives always spend 3 years in development before even releasing. I belive they are just looking to find new people for new positions

Latias Please don't ruin Halo. Don't milk it into the ground like COD.
Honestly there hasn't been a good Halo since Halo 3.


I actually loved Reach. I thought they did a great job.


In my opinion I have actually enjoyed all the Halos.
