Steam Passes 8 Million Concurrent Users

If you were to check out Steam’s statistics page, you’d find a real surprise waiting: Steam has finally surpassed 8 million concurrent users as of today

The record breaking amount of users does make sense, as today happens to also be the final day of the Steam Summer sale. For comparison’s sake, here’s the chart for Steam’s active user base shown at Dev Days in January of this year:

Wrong, there are very little hacking/modding going on in games that will affect you. Yeah, someone might do it offline or in single player where it doesn't affect anyone else except them, but again, that doesn't affect you or anyone else. Some people like to customize things such as textures so they can see them differently, nothing wrong with that, even if it's online as it doesn't give them an advantage, they just might not like the color of something and they want it a different color. As for the people who actually do go around gaining advantages that actually affect you and other players, well, they are almost always going to get banned from that game, so they won't be a problem anyways. As for the mouse, keyboard and controller, well, some prefer mouse and keyboard, some prefer controller, you can use both on PC for most games if you wish, but I feel way more comfortable with mouse and keyboard, even when playing on Xbox for almost 5 years, I still felt a lot more comfortable with mouse and keyboard over controller (and I used to no life Xbox when compared to gaming on PC.)

Well i will take it that you have never done pc gaming before. If you have you would understand that cheaters are rare and that the mouse and keyboard have more buttons, options, and precision than a controller.
