Minecraft PC and Mac sales top 16 million

Sales of the PC and Mac versions of Minecraft have surpassed 16 million copies, according to the game's official site.

The figure is up from up from 15 million copies in April and 14 million copies in February.

Minecraft Pocket Edition sales surpassed 21 million units in April, while 12 million copies of Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition had been sold as of February.

Digital Minecraft PS3 sales topped one million copies in the five weeks following the game's December 2013 release, a figure that is likely to have grown significantly over the past few months, and one that will have been boosted by a retail edition launched in May.

The franchise was reported to be approaching 54 million sales on all platforms combined in late June.

Mojang has confirmed that Vita, PS4 and Xbox One versions of Minecraft will launch in August.

That's just PC and Mac alone. Wasn't there an article a little while back, stating that all together, sales have reached like 54 million sold?

I'm honestly just waiting for it to come out on the One. I heard it's going to be a lot cheaper and I prefer controller over keyboard.

Probably over 20 million. Minecraft is a great game that everyone can enjoy.

that's insane and that without the sales fro the xbox one, when it comes out for it.
it a great game and you can build literally anything.

54 million sales is amazing for what was and still is a pretty simple game and it is great for all ages
