Destiny Beta on Xbox One Won’t Be 1080p; Full HD Confirmed for Launch

If you’re eager to see Destiny running in 1080p on your Xbox One, you may have to wait a little longer. During a livestream on IGN the game’s community manager explained that the beta on Microsoft’s new console will not reach the full HD goal.

Luckily it was also confirmed that the game will indeed run at 1080p at launch, probably thanks to the use of the hardware resources previously dedicated to Kinect and now free to be exploited by developers after Microsoft unlocked them about a month ago.

Of course it isn’t much of a problem, as it’s just a beta, and its purpose is mostly to test gameplay, not graphics.

I don't think it's really that bad that the beta won't be in 1080p, if the full game wasn't in 1080p I would be kinda upset.

Kinda stinks that it wont be in 1080p beta but its a beta what do you guys expect? hours of gameplay? nah that is the full game.

Why would they release the whole game for a beta? A beta is there so that people can bug report and get things fixed that the devs might have looked over.

It will be a great game and a lot of fun!

Agreed! Never should they release a whole game for beta...it isn't a beta then, but a free game.

Why does everyone who owns either a PS4 or Xbox one care so much about whether one 'plays better than the other', lets be honest when your actually playing a game you can't notice any difference between them. If you really cared about full 1080p games and everything looking beautiful why don't you get a PC?
