Destiny is set for a global release on September 9 on all formats, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Destiny on PS3 and PS4 will contain exclusive bonus content, including a new co-op Strike mission set on Mars, an additional competitive multiplayer map, and a selection of exclusive guns, gear, and ships.
Destiny's first expansion, the Dark Below, will be released in December. It will take players deep beneath the surface of the moon, where a dark god "has risen an evil army in the depths of the Hellmouth, the home of the Hive enemy race."
This will be followed by a second expansion, the House of Wolves, which is yet to be detailed. Both expansions will be included in the Destiny Expansion Pass.
In two recently released Destiny gameplay videos, Bungie offered tours of the Mars and Venus planets, and brief glimpses of the enemies you'll encounter within.
