That's according to Windows Phone Central, which claims to have learned that the peripheral will be available first in North America, priced at $149. We've asked Microsoft's UK arm for comment.
In May, Microsoft announced plans to drop Kinect as a mandatory Xbox One accessory.
The following month, the company began offering Xbox One without Kinect starting at £349/$399, down from the original RRP of £425/$499.
North American Xbox One sales in June doubled May's total, according to Microsoft.
Development of Kinect games is expected to suffer in the long-term, especially among third-parties, although Microsoft has said it remains committed to the peripheral.
The firm has also released a new Xbox One developer kit giving game creators access to additional system resources previously allocated to Kinect.
The second generation Kinect sensor released for Windows PCs in July priced at £159/$199.
