Report – Destiny Will Require Up To 40GB Of Space on Xbox One

It has been a concern to some since the Alpha and Beta that Bungie’s upcoming shared-world shooter, Destiny, may not feature enough content to justify its $60 price tag. However, it seems that the recently discovered size of the game on Xbox One may counter such claims.

Having received his/her copy early, a user has posted a short Imgur album showing off an early copy of Destiny for Xbox One. If one looks closely, you can see that it requires up to 40GB of space to play.

With this said, users who’ve already preloaded the game on their Xbox One have been wondering why it’s only 18GB.

One theory could be that it’s enough to let players play the online shared world shooter while the rest of the game installs, but we have yet to hear for certain.

Have you played the beta your dumb kid. This game will be the game of the year! Hands down u will see in 7 days u 14 year old cod fan boy.


i mainly play Battlefield 4, i'm not a CoD fanboy :)



Battle Field 4 was over hyped and wasn't that great of a game over all. Battle field should have stayed on PC. Cod sucks every year. You should know you're a cod fanboy. Not once has a halo game let me down that was made by Bungie. Even with all the hype there games got, they still exceeded and lived far beyond what we thought they would. What I'm trying to say is Bungie knows how to make a good game, than take that game and make it outstanding! Nobody should be worrying about this game, it will live up to its full potential. Look up the glass vault on YouTube. Little things like that here and there, keep making this game better and better.

i know, i love halo. i remember playing it all the time on my x360. when halo MCC comes out i will only play halo and no battlefield

Not really killer graphics, if you wanted killer graphics you would get destiny for PC if that will happen.

I had to start uninstalling games from my xbox one, I had already used up like 75% of the space....

Yep, I'll most likely have to end up buying a bigger HDD if all games are going to be like this.

You know that it has to. This is the second or third game that I have heard of that takes over 30GB just for installation...

Damn! That's a fair chunk of space! 500GB doesn't seem a lot of each game has a 40GB required space to play
