Why GTA 5 will be delayed on PC

Last week, Rockstar finally revealed the release date of the new-gen versions of GTA 5. Much to the letdown of many PC fans, the developer announced that the PC version will arrive just over two months later than its PS4 and Xbox One counterparts.


Rockstar today however provided an -albeit usual- explanation for the delay. The developer posted a reply on the official blog to the fans wondering about the PC version delay.

“We’re glad to see so many of you are excited for the upcoming release of the new versions of GTAV and we look forward to sharing more details with you soon. We are also incredibly excited to be bringing GTAV to the PC, but the game requires a little more development time in order to ensure that it is as amazing and polished as possible. Please do stay tuned as we reveal new features and information about all the new versions in the weeks ahead,” the reply read.

The PS4 and Xbox One versions will arrive November 18, with the PC version arriving January 27.

Gigahertz Can't complain if they're delaying it to make it better. Just aslong as it doesn't end up as DayZ Standalone.


The game is not even "officially" released. It is still in Alpha.


they have made more that 100million off the game im pretty sure if any company made 100million plus and they're game was still buggy then they're doing a shit job. 100million you could hire many more project producers/works to finish this game up in less than a year, or at least have the game better than it is now.

They still need to learn not to make any promises that they can't keep. You can never trust anything Rockstar says. The game itself was delayed, online was delayed, heists have been delayed for about three time already, and the list goes on.


You mean, "Rockstar makes awesome games, but they are the absolute worst when it comes to..." Actually taking a few weeks, maybe a month upping the GFX and porting.

I thought that GTA V was already on PC i was surprised to see this but let's hope that it won't be delayed much longer.
