FIFA 15 removing trade offers from Ultimate Team mode

Electronic Arts announced that it has disabled a key feature in FIFA 15's Ultimate Team mode in an attempt to crack down on the harmful trade of in-game currency.

In recent FIFA series games, players could exchange in-game items, coins, and players with friends using the Trade Offers feature. Finding that coin sellers often used the service to shuttle ill-gotten currency between accounts, EA removed the feature from this year's game. The coin-selling market is tied to account hacking and phishing, and functions in previous FIFA games could be exploited to cheat players out of cash by artificially inflating auction bids.

EA's Ultimate Team revisions supplement recent changes to its cheating policy, which gives coin buyers three strikes before they're permanently booted from FIFA online play. Sellers are dealt harsher penalties, and risk being banned from all EA-published games for coin selling and farming.

AudemarsPiguet Why on earth would they remove this feature? It was great. This kind of reminds me of when Forza Horizon got rid of the Auction House from previous Forza's. Thank goodness they are bringing it back along with tuning in Forza Horizon 2.


I've not been keeping up to date on Horizon 2 because I wanted it all to be a surprise when I get it, but Horizon 2 is going to have an auction house? That's great, it will be a great feature in the game.

On topic. Fifa sucks, as to all sport related games. This is purely my opinion and if you enjoy sport related games, I don't mean to offend you but surely if you like sports, just go outside and do it for real? Each to their own though I suppose.

It's not really fair that this is being taken away because of coin sellers because I used this feature to try out players or let my friend try out players and also to give things away to people. But coinsellers usally buy a player on the market rather than trade offer. Always hated people that buy coins and people that sell them ! Douchebags !!!

I guess you just have to player up again and buy it with coins for wagers. Pinklips are basically done now though. Can't put up any actual players.


Depay is right. You can't put up any players, unfortunately. Kinda sucks.
