No Forza Horizon 2 DLC planned for Xbox 360

Microsoft has no plans to release Forza Horizon 2 DLC on Xbox 360.

Both versions of the game recently launched with over 200 cars, but this week's Mobil 1 Car Pack introduced six new vehicles to the Xbox One edition.

Forza community manager Brian Ekberg wrote on the game's official forums: "This is the first monthly DLC pack for the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2 and we're excited to bring you more cars on a monthly basis.

"We are currently planning to release DLC only for the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2. Also, Forza Rewards benefits are only available in the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2.

"This means that Xbox 360 players will not receive Forza Rewards credits or cars. In addition, progress in the 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 does not count towards your Forza Rewards Tier Level score. Only progress in the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2 will count towards your overall Forza Score (and Tier Level) in Forza Rewards."

The open-world racing sequel was built on the Forza 5 engine by Playground Games for Xbox One, and separately on the Forza Horizon engine by Sumo Digital for Xbox 360.

They cut so many things out of the 360 version. Just another marketing scheme to get folks to go out and purchase an Xbox One. The graphics are literally identical to Forza Horizon 1 (some argue that there are times when Horizon 1 even looks better), and no one will convince me that they couldn't have improved on the graphics considering that GTA looks just as good as Forza Horizon 2. They could have released DLC on 360 if they wanted to and it would have sold well, but they want 360 owners to have more reasons to go out and purchase an Xbox One.

Im glad that I got this game for the X1, it looks so good.

This really does suck for 360 owners. But everyone had to of seen this coming.

I honestly didn't even know the game was coming out on the 360. I thought I heard somewhere that FH 2 was strictly next-gen.

Although this doesnt affect me, it is quite disappointing. They would make more money? So why wouldnt they want to?
