Microsoft now giving Office 365 users unlimited storage with OneDrive

4.6
Microsoft has announced today that if you subscribe to Office 365, they will give you unlimited storage with OneDrive. This upgrade in storage is available for both the consumer and business version of Office 365; prior to this announcement, the limit was 1 TB.

With this new announcement, this will place considerable pressure on OneDrive's competitors, like Dropbox, who charges $9.99 a month for 1 TB of storage but you don't get Office with it.

With Office 365 prices starting around $65 for consumers (shop around, you can sometimes find lower prices), Microsoft is making its Office subscription packages highly attractive compared to its competitors.

With unlimited storage, OneDrive now has the means to replace your hard drive without any worry of filling it up. Of course, this means that you are locked into Microsoft's cloud storage service but you can retrieve your files at anytime if you decide to switch services down the road.

Microsoft has officially taken the cap off of cloud storage services, while the company is not giving away unlimited free storage to its non-paying customers, the company is letting them store up to 15GB before you hit a cap.

xKat $9.99 A month for 1TB? Thats pretty sh!tty, Use Google Drive for free

Exactly. I have stopped saving documents and projects to my hard drive and using Google Drive for the past few months.

Same here, Google drive is most likely just as good anyway.

If not, better. Probably not as reliable as it's free, but hell, better then paying $9.99 a month :s

People that are saying use Google Drive for free. You do realize Microsoft OneDrive is also free, but for $69.99 a year you get UNLIMITED STORAGE + the FULL Office Suite. Which the full Office Suite values at +$400 plus when the new version comes out you'd have to upgrade. Google Drive is not unlimited if you get the free version.
