GTA V PS4 and Xbox One to receive day one patch

Rockstar plans to release a day one patch for Grand Theft Auto V on Xbox One and PS4.

Like the full game itself, the patch will be available to download ahead of next week's launch so that the "tweaks and optimisation fixes" included can be applied before the title unlocks.

Rockstar says: "In order to experience the game properly, please make sure you install this update before playing (like all title updates, it will be applied automatically as long as you are connected to the internet)."

"We will be looking closely at your feedback from the initial launch days on the new platforms to help inform other future dynamic tuning changes and title updates as always."

The Grand Theft Auto V release date is November 18, 2014 on new-gen consoles. The PC version will follow on January 27, 2015.

Thinking about it you get a whole load of new features on the next gen so its worth it.

I really dont care if theres going to be a patch on Day one. Just hopefully we'll see some amazing stuff in the game!

Tbh the bigger it is the more they will have done to make it better, it wont take me long anyway as im on 152mb Fibre Optic


Not necessarily, just because it's a big file size, doesn't mean it's making the game better. It could just be content they couldn't fit on the discs, or a simple 200mb update that opens up things like Online and MP prep.


I agree with Saki.

I couldn't care less about the little things they've changed like the persons arm goes with the wind or a certain person on the street reacts to something you do, or something pointless like that.
