Xbox One outsells PlayStation 4 during Black Friday

With Black Friday in the past and many of us owning our new hardly fought gaming consoles with bruises to show for it. But, the question of what console won the day arises. A study by InfoScout has the answer.

Microsoft had a significant edge on Sony this year dominating more than half of the console sales alone. Even Microsoft's previous generation Xbox 360 out sold Nintendo's newest console the Wii U.

How about what parents bought for their kids? Well 92 percent that purchased the Wii U say they purchased the console for their child, of the buyers of the Xbox One 66 percent purchased the console for their kid. PlayStation 4 buyers mostly bought it for themselves with only 45 percent buying the console as a gift.

Last year Sony was also beaten by Microsoft for Black Friday console sales with the Xbox One and 360 clutching 61 percent of the console market, while the Playstation 4 and 3 held a small in comparison 30 percent.

Sony has had it's fair share of being beaten on Black Friday as the last two years have showed. But, what did you guys pick up while battling out there?

I bought my xbox in the sales last week, and on the game website in the UK you couldnt get on any part of the site to do with xbox but you want to hit those sony pages was a piece of cake.
But i think we are all missing the main point of this story, which of course is that the xbox 360 is out selling the Wii U unlucky nintendo.

The only reason they outsold was because they was cheaper or better bundles for the price. And when people say that the PS4 is outselling the XBone, majority say it's because it's cheaper. Works both way I guess. On a neutral note, bit annoying to see that after a year you can get a new console with 4 games for 300.

This is good and all but it really sucks because most of the bundles from Xbox directly are sold out. Hopefully they will come out with some more soon before the price goes up and the deals go away. It's really surprising how good the Xbox 360 continues to do, year after year.

Not even that. More and more people are realizing that the X1 isn't that bad of a system. Most people nowadays are going to have probably both systems.

My theory is this, The Playstation for the most part is built for gaming so the majority of your sales are going to be kids 12-25 but with the Xbox and its low price you're appealing to a wider audience with the Apps, TV Interaction, Skype And Games you're gonna be hitting a larger age group.

Ok with that logic, ps4 has outsold xbone since launce because it was 100 dollars more
