That's according to Bungie community manager Eric Osborne, who has said that Sparrow racing is one of many ideas that could be considered for a future content update.
"It's definitely an idea that has come up at the studio, and there are dozens and dozens and dozens of cool ideas," Osborne told Gamespot.
"Part of the process of sustaining [Destiny] is figuring out what's the most bang for the buck, what's the right feedback to go after and address, how do we deliver the experiences that players want. And race is definitely one of the things that has come up as a topic, so we'll see.
"It's one of those shifty, no-promises answers," he admitted.
Destiny's first DLC expansion 'The Dark Below' will be released tomorrow, December 9.
The add-on will add a new Raid, three new Story Missions, a new strike, new guns and armor, and a new level cap of 32. It'll also add three new Crucible maps. PlayStation gamers will be treated to additional exclusive content, including a second Strike set on Mars titled The Undying Mind, and an exotic shotgun called The 4th Horseman.
The Dark Below will be followed by a second expansion, House of Wolves, which has yet to be detailed. Both add-ons are included in the Destiny Expansion Pass.
