Xbox One preview members get early access to Halo 5 beta

Microsoft is gifting its dedicated Xbox One preview members an early Christmas present tomorrow: early access to Halo 5. While 343 industries and Microsoft plan to launch a Halo 5 multiplayer beta on December 29th, Xbox One preview members will be able to play content from week one a whole 10 days early. The early access is invite-only, and all current Xbox One preview members should receive a message from Xbox Live tomorrow with two codes to obtain the download.

Halo 5 multiplayer beta early access will start at 4PM ET tomorrow, and end at 3AM ET on December 22nd, giving Xbox One preview members the weekend before Christmas Day to get used to the new weapons, maps, and Spartan abilities. Those include a new Smart Scope option that gives you a scope on every weapon, and a Ground Pound ability, that’s very similar to Destiny’s First of Havoc slam, to let you drop down from the air and attack enemies.

Was Skeptical about this at first, was constantly being shot left right and center but once I got into it and evaluated the new style of play i'm enjoying it now. It's definitely different to the average halo we know and love, but it's BALANCED and once you're used to it feels FRESH AND NEW, ADS worried me but it's called "smartscope" and you still zoom out if you get shot, so it doesn't worry me because it didn't feel like COD with your finger over the left trigger. For people who enjoy the classic halo style of play and that only, you'll have to get used to it as a lot has changed, but still has that fair style of gameplay, preset guns, all the same abilities and I couldn't ask for more.. but it's a great step in the franchise now i've played it for a decent amount. That being said it's a beta, so i'm hoping i'm not wrong when the full game is released.. 343, keep it up

I've seen some game play and it looks alright to me. Not to sure if I'm going to get into the game. But, it's in beta so they have long ways to go.

It's good to see them rolling this out. Halo4 was a joke so hopefully this is much better.

This game looks Badass and really cant wait for its release. Sadly, my xbox is coming home from its repair on the 24th so I cant get in on this. But im a long term halo fan looking for them to recover from Halo 4 ;)
