Xbox Games with Gold January: The Witcher 2, D4 go free

Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to download The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings on Xbox 360 for free in January.

That's the headlining title to open the year for Microsoft's Games with Gold promotion, which offers new games each month for free to Xbox Live Gold subs.

MX vs ATV Alive will start the month for Xbox 360 gamers, available from January 1 until Jan. 15. The Witcher 2 will take over from Jan. 16 to the end of the month.

Meanwhile, Xbox One gamers will as usual get a single new title in January - D4: Dark Dreams Don't Lie - which will be available for the entire month.

When is CoD4 or WaW gonna be free for a month? is this Microsoft that's being cheap or Activision for not wanting to see their franchise be used in this manner?

D4 is the game that you play if you've played everything. It really isn't that bad.

It actually looks pretty cool if you're into story type games. I'm definitely downloading it, it's free too.

Most the games that microsoft give us free now are "ok" but mainly they suck

I couldn't agree more, but D4 actually looks rather decent compared to EVERY single game they have given us.

Ungrateful much? Lol be grateful you **** are getting free games. Idk about you but worms battlegrounds was the last free game on Xbox one and it kept me occupied for hours. I love that game and it's free. So lets try to be grateful and not be a bunch of undeserving children. Tis the season, douchers

Witcher 2 is an amazing game but the games for the xbox have been terrible since the beginning in my opinion.

Honestly the game doesn't look that bad. But since these updates on other games are taking up space i might play it once and delete it.
