Windows 10’s ‘Spartan’ browser will have the ‘most advanced’ features

4.6
Microsoft’s special new browser for Windows 10, codenamed Spartan, is being detailed in more and more reports, with The Verge revealing that the new browser will be the most advanced yet, as it’ll offer users a variety of features not found on other browsers.

Spartan is meant to work on a variety of screens, from smartphones to tablets to desktops, and the app should be available from Windows Store once it launches. Visually, Spartan is said to offer a similar experience across devices, and the new browser is expected to sport a minimal interface, basically looking like a simplified version of Google’s Chrome.

Features-wise, Spartan will offer various capabilities, including annotations and sharing support. Microsoft wants users to be able to make notes on a page using a stylus, and share them with colleagues via OneDrive.

One other major feature of Spartan will be Cortana integration. Users will apparently be able to use the digital assistant’s various powers inside the browser, though voice support isn’t specifically mentioned.

Finally, Spartan will come with a new way for users to group tabs together, helping them unclutter their browsing experience — for example, users will be able to separate work tabs from personal tabs.

Spartan could be further detailed on January 21st, during Microsoft’s special media event, though nothing is confirmed on the matter.

Int I'm always going to continue to use Tor, Firefox and Chrome, no need for Microsoft services.

Can you access TTG from a Tor browser? Didn't think you could.

Grimmie I'm definitely interested in this, but hopefully it's available on other versions and not just windows 10 and above. Advanced browsers have always caught my eye, but at the same time they need to be simple.

I agree. I hope it turns out good. I am pretty excited for it.
