Treyarch is teasing something to do with Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 developer Treyarch is teasing some sort of announcement on Wednesday, and it has to do with zombies.

The developer took to Twitter to tease information of a live-stream that will take place this Wednesday, February 4.

As the hashtag reveals, this will be during the DICE summit, which takes place February 3-5. Teyarch was the first studio to bring Zombies mode into Call of Duty with World at War. Since then, it has been staple of Treyarch’s Call of Dut(ies), and most recently, Sledgehammer Games’ Advanced Warfare.

That being said, it would be pretty early for Activision or Treyarch to announce a new Call of Duty game, or even talk about one. Usually, that event is reserved for May. This could be a new spin-off series or just development talk about what the studio will bring with the next installment of Zombies.

At any case, you’ll be the first to know when we have any new information.

The D.I.C.E. summit (stands for Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) is an annual event where several game developers and executives host panels and discuss the production and business sides of the industry. Some publishing deals are known to start there.

Well i can't say that i am surprised what so ever with Treyarch doing Zombies. I have personally never been a fan of zombies what so ever (i found WaW zombies boring and i can't say that the other treyarch games have been much better). The only situation in which i will be purchasing this title is if they go back to basics and do something from the world war era

Every year a CoD comes out and this year is Treyarchs? I doubt people want to play AW for any longer than another 9 months.

Personally, I wouldn't mind it if they released more maps for BO2 prior to them releasing a game. I know my friends and I would definitely buy more Zombies maps for BO2. Also, the fact that BO2 still has a ton of players, they'd probably make a good amount of money releasing another map pack. I wouldn't mind bringing back easter eggs like the one on Origins. Only one I've completed and I thought the staffs were great!

Musket Hopefully they dont do what Advance Warfare did with their zombies, Allowing them to use EXO Suits is a bit too much.


I think we can definitely see an AW2, but I think it's safe to say that we won't be seeing exo suits until then. I love the idea of it, it does make for a fun game but they do need to change it up every year. I know Treyarch will bring an amazing edition out, and hopefully Ranked Play will be even better than BO2's, or at the least as good!

Treyarch's games have been some of the best CoDs for me. I loved WaW and BO2's campaign and multiplayer. I found Black Ops' engine feeling like my movement was too clunky, but zombies has always been amazing! I love doing the easter eggs, there's no feeling better than getting every single achievement/trophy on a Treyarch CoD that has zombies, especially with the DLC!

I don't think the storyline will carry on which is a shame, but I hope we at least get to play Der Reise again!!
