Microsoft working on Xbox Live Message spam issue

Microsoft is currently investigating an issue with numerous Xbox Live spam messages being sent out to others. Microsoft is offering a temporary fix in the meantime stating to change your privacy settings to "friends only."

Mike Ybarra, Partner Director of Program Management of Xbox sent out a tweet stating they are working on the issue and also said to report the spam messages.

People receiving lots and lots of messages about free console giveaways I get about 100 a day and can no longer use my account atm

I've never been spammed over xbox live messages and I've been on xbox live for over 4 years now...

Yeah I have been getting these! I have been getting them about PS4 giveaway and Xbox One giveaway. Thanks god they are addressing the issue.
