Modern Warfare 2 Remaster petition reaches 130,000 signatures

Revolution? Innovation? Ambient cubemaps? New, transformative kinds of games burned onto our retinas from our new-generation consoles? Not so much... It turns out that’s not what everyone wants, if over 130,000 people are to believed. A petition is currently live on change.org for a remastered version of 2009’s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

The petition states that Modern Warfare 2 on last-gen consoles has been overrun with hackers and deserves a remaster to fix the problems. It’s looking for 150,000 signatures before sending a letter on to Activision.

With over 15,000 signatures gained since last night, it might not be too long before the petition reaches its goal. With all the recent remasters on PS4 and Xbox One, is something like Modern Warfare 2 prime material for a lick of paint? Or is this a franchise that should be looking forward instead of back? And why the hell isn't there a proper petition for the original (and far superior) Modern Warfare instead?

partyrock I hate when people say that Blops 2 was the best COD. It was not that good. COd 4, WAW, and MW2 were a lot better

Clueless Modern Warfare 2 is the best by far, and it went down hill afterwards. The new Call Of Duty's aren't terrible, just not as good as the classics, so this would be a great thing.

"best by far"
-overpowered explosives (not limited to "noob tube")(grenades, c4, claymore, stuns, etc.)
-no perk to protect yourself from
-Had killtime similar to Cod Ghosts (2-3 shots with ARs w/ stopping power) which was "god-awful" according to you hypocrites
-Introduced Deathstreaks
-OP Killstreaks, never really got balanced
-Etc, etc.
-lobbies completely ruined the game for true cod fans, and devalued any camo/challenges in the game
-introduced so many plagues to cod, and popularized the plague of quickscoping even further
BUT I digress....

If they're gonna remake the games, they're gonna remake a GOOD one like Cod4/CodWaw... I'm not gonna say I don't have fun on MW2, it is fairly fun, but it's clearly not the best... If they remake a Cod, it won't be until 2017 since Treyarch can manage to make a decent game...

Trey arch only good cod was waw lag ops one and 2 where ni better than ghost and advanced warfare

Although this was one of the last good CODs, I would rather see COD 4 remade than this. or a combination. But just bring back eavesdrop so we can play cops and robbers again
