Titanfall’s DLC is free forever

Titanfall developer Respawn has clarified that the free DLC and season pass offer currently in-effect, is in fact not a timed one.

All the DLC packs along with the season pass of Titanfall were made free on Xbox One and Xbox 360 and later on PC earlier in the week.

Today, developer Respawn Entertainment confirmed that they will remain free going forward to anyone purchasing the game.

This may have something to do with Respawn reconsidering its stance on paid map packs. Studio co-founder Vince Zampella said last night that the studio is considering an Evolve-like model for Titanfall 2. Evolve’s model offers all post-launch maps free to everyone, but charges for optional character and weapon skins.

What about the people who actually paid for the DLC or Season Pass? Did they get their money back? If not, I would be pissed if I paid for free DLC.

Pretty cool for them to just release it to everyone. You don't see a lot of people doing things like that anymore.

TH9 Should've given some kind of prestigous gear to those who bought the DLC.. Titanfall was awful, so it doesn't matter if they do this or not, aha


Titanfall was a great game, it just lacked content Similar to Destiny.


It was a bad game! It had soo much hype and just got soo dead after a day or two of playing it.

I bought this game for the pc with a season pass and it didn't even hold my interest long enough to play through the dlc. There seemed to be so little content for the game that the DLC probably should have been free anyway.

I hope the next one will be executed a little differently. I'm considering purchasing the sequel for my ps4 if my friends end up getting it too.

exactly it had so much potential there was just not enough guns,titans,maps or anything

Earn This article is similar to the other one so I may be saying a similar thing but it sucks that they've done this since people who paid money for the DLCs have pretty much lost their money since it's now free which is a huge disappointment to them regardless it will bring in more new players so the game wont be as dead as it normally is.


This happened in many other games, plus, they just announced Titanfall 2.
