Former Call of Duty 4 and MW2 lead designer rejoins Infinity Ward

It looks like former Call of Duty lead designer Todd Alderman has returned to Activision's Infinity Ward studio. You may recall that Alderman was one of 38 members of the "Infinity Ward Employee Group" who sued Activision in early 2010 for $75 - $125 million for unpaid bonuses the group claimed it was owed for work on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Alderman later joined Infinity Ward co-founders Jason West and Vince Zampella at their new studio, Titanfall maker Respawn. Alderman left the studio in 2012. His most recent stint was as a designer at League of Legends maker Riot Games.

according to a Polygon report, Alderman has rejoined Infinity Ward as its new project director and all the ill will between him and Activision has dissipated.

Alderman was lead designer on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2 and left the company in 2010. Shortly thereafter he joined the then-newly formed Respawn Entertainment.

Could it be a remaster of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2? A petition to remake the fan-favorite CoD game recently gained a lot of traction on change.org, but unfortunately fan petitions don't always make it to the top of management, even if the number of signatures now exceeds 160,000.

Glad to hear this. I feel MW2 and Cod 4 were a bit more superior to the new call of dutys in my opinion.

Cod4 and mw2 best games. I wish they make more games like them. Not combine of halo, aliens and everything

Tendency I'd rather BO2 or MW3 any day. I can't bare MW2 due to the snipers and nubetubes etc. Although anything is better than Ghosts and AW.


The noobtube n sniper made the game fun
there was always a gun to counter any gun


exactly. its all try hard drop shotting sub users now. at least in mw2 you could blow them up and make them mad now you have to try so hard just to get a kill in search because there ALWAYS somone going so dam try hard with a op asm1 its just no fun anymore. at least toobs and sniping gave others a chance to have some fun it was not all about k/d back then it was just a fun "game" to play.

Well if this makes the next one anything like Cod4 or MW2, it will make it a much better game :)

This is great. Hopefully since his back they'll make a better modern warfare. Maybe even make Mw4. :dealwithit:
